Conversation Circles

Let’s talk

With the help of our local libraries, the Huron Welcome Hub has been running weekly “conversation circles” where volunteers and newcomers get together to chat about everyday topics. The sessions are not formal English language courses, but a fun way to help newcomers learn some everyday English so they can navigate their daily lives in the county, whether it is at the local grocery store, workplace or school. The groups, which meet Mondays at the Goderich Public Library, and Wednesdays at the Exeter Public Library, are drop-in and open to all. Many participants in the groups have made new friends and enjoy other social activities together.
